About

Admitted to the State Bar of California in 2003, Louis Pacella has a wealth of experience assisting clients in many practice areas.   After graduating from the Pepperdine University School of Law, Louis joined the law firm of Arias, Ozzello & Gignac, LLP a nationally recognized litigation practice with emphasis on class action, mass tort and consumer rights litigation.  As an associate, Louis handled over one hundred class actions and/or complex matters in both the state and federal courts involving the largest companies and law firms in country.  His accomplishments include serving as the lead associate on Costa v. Vitas Healthcare in which a recovery of more than $20,000,000 was obtained for the class.

Louis next joined the civil defense firm of MarangaŸMorgenstern where he represented large multi-national corporations that included United Parcel Service (UPS), Darden Restaurant Group, Marathon Equipment and Liberty Mutual Insurance, in cases involving catastrophic liability and business litigation claims.  Concentrating on law and motion matters, Louis consistently secured results leading to the resolution of matters on favorable terms for his clients.

After the birth of his first child, Louis formed his own estate and business planning practice in 2008, focusing on the areas he was most passionate about in law school. Since that time, Louis has assisted more than 1,000 families and small businesses in the areas of trust and business formation, estate planning, public benefits planning, trust litigation and probate.

In addition to estate planning, Louis has successfully tried cases involving complicated trust issues involving breaches of fiduciary duties, undue influence, lack of mental capacity and fraud.  He carefully guides families through the convoluted waters involving the incapacity of a spouse, conservatorships and probate. Louis also assists many trustees in the administration of a trust after a death.

Louis’ approach centers on catering to the needs of each particular client in a highly personal manner that brings the legal experience directly to them.  Although centrally located in Calabasas, Louis’ practice is statewide and he and his team travel to wherever the client is. With his extensive litigation background, Louis excels in cases where it is clear that an elderly family member has been the victim of undue influence or fraud.

From the time he was a student, Louis demonstrated a keen understanding and passion for the areas of estate and business planning, earning high marks in those respective classes, including the prestigious CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Business Planning.

In addition to his legal practice, Louis has been an active member of the youth hockey community in the United States for the past seventeen years.  Most recently, he has coached teams of elite 15-17 year olds, leading them to the eight consecutive appearances at the USA Hockey National Championships.  He is also a member at Wood Ranch Golf Club located in Simi Valley.  Louis and his wife reside in Woodland Hills with their three (3) children.
